Terms of use
Last updated: October 3, 2026
The rules for using Hopvote, in plain words. By creating an account or answering a presentation, you accept them.
Who we are
Hopvote is published by Hopvote, trade name of Julie Burel EI, SIREN 920 728 540 (full details below). Contact: contact@hopvote.com.
The service
Hopvote lets you create presentations of questions, show a QR code and collect live answers from an audience on their phones, on hopvote.com and in Canva, PowerPoint and Google Slides.
Your account
You need to be 15 or over to create an account. Keep your sign-in details to yourself: you are responsible for what happens with your account. Tell us at contact@hopvote.com if you think someone else is using it.
Your content
What you create stays yours. You give us only the right to store and display it so the service works, for example on the big screen and on participants' phones. If you share a presentation in Community, its questions can be copied and reused by other users: images, answers and names are never shared.
What is not allowed
- Illegal, hateful, harassing, violent or sexually explicit content, or content that infringes someone else's rights.
- Collecting personal data without a clear reason, or without telling people what it is for.
- Spam, scams, or trying to break, overload or get around the limits of the service.
We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these rules. Where we can, we will warn you first and explain why.
If you collect contact details
When your presentation asks participants for contact details, you are responsible for that data: use it only for the reason you gave, and delete it when you no longer need it.
Plans and prices
The free plan includes 5 presentations of up to 5 questions each, with 80 participants per presentation. Paid plans (Solo and Pro) are described on the pricing page with their price including taxes. When they open, subscriptions renew each month and can be cancelled at any time: the plan then stays active until the end of the paid month. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have 14 days to withdraw after subscribing; by using a paid feature straight away, you ask us to start the service during that period.
Availability
We work hard to keep Hopvote fast and available, but we can't promise it will never be interrupted, for example for maintenance or because of a provider. We may change or improve features over time.
Responsibility
Hopvote is provided as is. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer. For business users, our liability is limited to the amount paid over the last 12 months.
Ending
You can delete your account at any time in Settings: your data is then deleted. We may close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms.
Changes
If these terms change in a way that matters, we will tell you on the site or by email before the change applies.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. If there is a problem, write to us first at contact@hopvote.com and we will look for a solution together. Consumers can also use a free consumer mediator, and keep the right to go to the court where they live.
