How the shoe game works with phones

The couple sit back to back, each holding one of their own shoes and one of their partner's. The host reads a question, guests vote on their phones, then the couple raise the shoe of the one they pick. Turn them round to face the screen: the split shows straight away whether the room agrees.

  • Single choice with two options: her and him, or your two first names
  • A third option, both, for the answers too close to call
  • Guess a number for the shoes in the couple's wardrobe

Ten minutes between two courses

Ten to twelve questions is plenty: enough for a few good laughs, short enough to finish before the cake. The free plan allows five questions per presentation, so make one presentation per round, each with its own QR code.

Every guest gets a say

Usually only the couple answer while the room shouts. Here every guest votes from their seat, with no app and no account, in the language of their phone. Answers stay anonymous unless you ask for first names, so grandma can safely vote that the groom snores. For right answers and a podium, add a wedding quiz.

Questions

How does the wedding shoe game work?

The couple sit back to back, each with one of their own shoes and one of their partner's. For each question they raise the shoe of the person it fits best. With Hopvote the guests vote too, and the screen shows the room's answer.

Can we use our first names instead of her and him?

Yes. Each question is a single choice, so type any two options: your first names, him and him, her and her. Add a third, like both, if you want.

Will guests see who voted for whom?

No. The screen shows percentages without names. Answers stay anonymous unless you ask guests for their first names.

Is it free for a wedding?

Yes to start: every question type, up to 80 participants and 5 questions per presentation. For a bigger wedding the Event Pass is €9 and the Big Event Pass €29, paid once for 72 hours, starting at payment or on the date you choose, such as the wedding day.
